TIS Class of 2024 Achieves Excellence in Alberta and IB Diplomas

At TIS, we are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our Class of 2024 students. As the sole provider of the Canadian Alberta Curriculum and International Baccalaureate (IB) dual diploma programs in Macao, we are proud to empower our learners to reach new heights of academic and personal excellence.

We are delighted to share that 100% of our TIS Class of 2024 students have graduated successfully and received offers from universities, with many from top universities worldwide. With exceptional academic performance, 60% of our graduates achieved the Alberta Education level of Excellence standard, scoring 80% or higher, the equivalent to making the honour roll. Additionally, 15% of the high-achieving students attained distinction status, scoring an impressive 90% or higher. Our students' exceptional results are further evidenced by pass rates Our students achieved exceptional results, with of  well above 96% in key subject areas such as Physics, Science, Math, English Language Arts, and Social Studies,  under the Alberta Curriculum.

We are proud to announce that all IB students taking the IB Core (Theory of Knowledge [TOK], Creativity, Activity, Service [CAS] and the Extended Essay [EE]) achieved at least 2 out of 3 available points for IB TOK/EE, as well as outperforming global averages in most metrics across all IB subjects. Underscoring their achievements, our TIS Class of 2024 students have collectively been awarded over  MOP 122 million in scholarships, which reflects their academic excellence and the school’s commitment to supporting their educational aspirations.

The IB diploma program is a prestigious and globally recognised educational framework that provides a challenging and comprehensive curriculum for students. It is highly valued by universities worldwide for its ability to prepare students for the rigour and independence required at the tertiary level. By offering the IB program, TIS is equipping its students with an internationally recognised qualification that opens doors to opportunities around the globe. This year marks the 6th year that TIS has graduates from the IB program, demonstrating the school's longstanding commitment to this enriching educational pathway.
